Yo, hey, This month (in the past 7 days) we have had 13518 hits on our site and lots of new visitors. We appear to be growing and we are super stoked. If you know of any Vancouver-skate-related info, we want to post it. So send it on over to me! sarah@vspc.ca
One thing that is true about kids from my experience is that they all love skateboarding. They love building boards, they love watching and they love learning.

Skate run, (by Macey the rad) Budgies Burritos is the best joint to get a veggie burrito in this town. And Budgies is right around the corner from Antisocial. So, when you are done your sesh on the mini, head there for some mmmmmmm. I was in there yesterday and I had the tofurky soft taco for 4$, so good and filling. You might even run into Rick McCrank, I did. Yay. Though sadly he had a buggered arm. Get better Rick. Support skate run businesses and pretty soon skaters will run the planet. Only skateboarders will be allowed in the streets. People will have to play with their cars in garages….. You got a skate-run establishment? Well, let me know and we will find someone to do a review! sarah@vspc.ca
Hey everyone, (From Miss Kim!)
We just got back from the Parks Board meeting regarding China Creek. Both
sides presented arguments for and against for about 3 hours. (Howard
Redekopp, Jeff Chan, Calen Sinclaire, Derek DeLand, Doug Donut, Dan
Cummer, Jay Pay, a couple of neighbours in favour, including Cate
Atkinson, and me, Kim Glennie, spoke to save the bowls, several neighbours
spoke against keeping them.) Mark Vuillamy recommended preserving China
Creek, Michel DesRochers did not speak out against them, just presented
options 1 and 3.

7pm at the the Park Board Administration Building, 2099 Beach Drive. Call ahead to register to speak.
Also, I just spoke to Alan De Genova this morning, he told me to tell everyone to keep up the letter writing to Parks Board. He said it is absolutely imperative to keep city staff and Parks Board commissioners on board. pbcomments@vancouver.ca They don’t have to be long letters. Just keep writing……
The Province has features on Lee Matasi and Rachel Davis. And this was on 24hrs front page.

Just a friendly reminder our VSC monthly meeting is this Wednesday at antisocial 7pm. Bring your skate……..Bring your ideas. Everybody is welcome.
