And just like that… it’s annual general meeting time again. The Vancouver Skateboard Coalition will be holding elections for all positions on Wednesday, October 17th at Antisocial (2425 Main St. between 8th and Broadway). If you want to be involved, we want you here. We’ll be skating the mini, eating pizza, and voting in a new board.

There are 20 positions available: four executive positions (president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer) and 16 board member positions (including two youth members).

A VSBC membership is required to vote. The membership fee is a $2 minimum donation that will be taken at the door.

Nominations will be accepted by e-mail starting today (send to: president@vspc.ca) or at the meeting on the 17th.

Executive members are expected to attend at least two events and four meetings through the course of the year (2007-08).

Executive members must be of age and must have attended at least two meetings in the past.

See you there.

Thanks for checking in Shuggy. Skateboarding is an amazing thing and it’s always cool to hear from people who get it and have been in it for the long haul. I’m sure I’ll be seeing you around Hastings and Bonsor (my 2nd and 3rd homes) in the near future.

And if you’ve got the time, it would be cool to see you out at the meeting tomorrow.

No.In fact it may help you shed a few pounds. Anyone can skate. You may go a bit faster so watch your speed.

Don’t worry about it, just skate. If you skate enough, the flab disappears by itself. You should have seen me back before I started.
