Vancouver Skateboard Coalition

Looks like 2009 is off to a promising start… there’s a Park Board meeting on Monday, January 19^th and number three on the agenda is a potential new skatepark at Kensington Community Centre (on Knight St. between 33^rd and 37^th). I’ll be there, but if you live in that area and would like to see a skatepark there, you should show up because they’ll value your opinion more than that of a guy who lives five minutes from Hastings.

The meeting is at the Park Board (2099 Beach Ave.) at 7:00pm. You’ll want to talk, so register by calling Julie Casanova at the Park Board at 604−257−8451 by noon on Monday.

Happy New Year kids. The Vancouver Skateboard Coalition’s first meeting of 2009 is tomorrow. That’s Wednesday, January 7^th. And please note our change of venue… it’s going to be at Boulevard, Kevin Kelly’s new skateshop. That’s out in Kerrisdale at 5305 West Boulevard.
